Last month, the U.S. Supreme Court made marriage equality the law of the land, but the fact remains that discrimination is a real and persistent problem for many LGBT Americans. The time has come in this country for full, federal equality for the LGBT community.
That’s why we’re proud to step forward to show our support for the landmark federal LGBT non-discrimination legislation introduced to Congress this week. The Equality Act would establish full, federal equality for all LGBT Americans — helping ensure fairness in our workplaces and communities.
For years, we’ve been a vocal advocate for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), and now we continue our legacy as a bold, first mover. In being among the first to publicly support The Equality Act, we open the door and invite other businesses to follow suite. It’s good business and it’s simply the right thing to do.
