In my book, few things are as cool as an Airstream travel trailer. The smooth, curving sheets of aluminum, riveted together and gliding down the open road to the next big adventure. Maybe at the Grand Canyon. Or a deserted Gulf Coast beach. Or Philadelphia.
Philly?
Yes, Philadelphia – the City of Brotherly Love. Home of the Liberty Bell. And this weekend, the place where a specially outfitted Airstream will house even more American cool…in the form of Dockers® khakis.

Some are calling it one of the last great civil rights issues.
The U.S. Supreme Court today begins hearing arguments on two marriage equality cases, a landmark in a long battle for equal rights.

Our hometown mayor, San Francisco’s Edwin Lee, traveled to Europe this week. Mayor Lee was in both Cork, Ireland, and Paris for a couple of sister-city visits.
It was in Paris that he presented that city’s mayor, Bertrand Delanoe, a Levi’s® Trucker jacket.
The US Embassy in Paris shared the picture above on its Twitter account. That's Mayor Lee third from left and Mayor Delanoe sporting the denim jacket.

“I’m thankful that I found Mercado Global and can provide a better life for my family.”
That's what Isabel Chiroy Pixtay said, following a recent, long day at work.
Isabel, pictured above, is the oldest of twelve siblings. She cradled the dream of getting an education, but her parents could not afford to send her to school beyond the sixth grade.

Cyclist or not, if you've discovered the Levi's® Commuter collection, you know it's pretty impressive.
The collection is now back for a new season. And it features, among other products, new cargo pants and shorts. You'll also find a variety of colors and washes.
Most importantly, the Commuter still features the fabric performance details you've come to expect -- including water resistance, reflectivity, moisture wicking and just enough stretch to make all your urban commutes a lot more comfortable.
Enough with the words. These pictures speak for themselves.

Even in one of the most remote parts of the world, the power of the Levi’s® brand is clear. Read on, and you'll see what I mean.
Packing -- and, later, wearing -- a toasty Levi’s® down jacket from Japan (1999 Alaska Range), Raju Vrm, Levi’s® Commercial Operations for South Africa, made company history in Tanzania.

Esquire has always been one of my favorite magazines. I started reading it in college – too long ago to think about – and now subscribe on my iPad. Clearly, Esquire has evolved and stands the test of time.
Same could be said, I think, of Levi’s®. And I was happy to see two of the brand’s products on Esquire’s online Shopping Guide feature, The Best Jean Jackets for Spring.

A new offering from the Levi’s® brand this season is called the Artisan Blanket Collection.
To create the collection, designers turned to handcrafted, quilted Indian blankets. The blanket fabrics and colorful yarns were hand dyed and embroidered using local graphics and repurposed into beautiful garments, pieced together with twills and chambrays, then over-dyed in raw indigo.
Each style is made from vintage blankets and infused with handcrafted elegance, resulting in unique items you’ll treasure.

I traveled to the town of Wickenburg, Ariz., ten years ago for the first time. I went because I was obsessed with a pair of vintage jeans we have in the company Archives.
The pair is now on display in the atrium of our San Francisco Headquarters -- part of an exhibit on the 140th anniversary of the 501® jeans. The jeans belonged to a hard-working miner named Homer Campbell.

This week, Levi Strauss would have turned 184 years old. In honor of this occasion, I thought I'd share four fun and interesting things you might not know about the founder of Levi Strauss & Co. and co-inventor of the blue jean.
The Great Impersonator?
