For every single article of clothing donated to Goodwill, consumers have another 30 articles that are ready for donation.
How’s that for a surprising fact?

As Chief Intellectual Property Counsel at Levi Strauss & Co., it’s my job to protect our brands from counterfeiters.
This is definitely an instance where imitation is not the highest form of flattery.

What’s driving the sustainability movement? What’s detracting from it? And where’s the movement headed?
That was the topic of a panel discussion last week at the annual Dwell on Design conference in Los Angeles, and I was fortunate to participate, representing Levi’s® brand.

June 26, 1847 was a momentous day in the history of blue jeans.
Why?
Because it’s the day that the Bavarian government – the Regierung – gave permission for the Strauss family of Buttenheim to emigrate from Germany to America.

My name is Phiko Dingiso.
I usually play central midfield and began coaching soccer in 2005.
This week, I am coaching the children of Levi Strauss & Co. employees in South Africa at a soccer camp run by Grassroot Soccer – a local South African nonprofit focused on HIV/AIDS and soccer.

When you Google “Braddock, Pennsylvania,” the search results feature terms like “distressed municipality,” “boarded-up storefronts,” and “high unemployment.”
Braddock won’t be making any magazine’s list of “most livable towns” anytime soon.

When it comes to empowering women, we have work to do. You. Me. Everyone.
According to some estimates, women represent 70% of the world’s poor. In the developing world, the percentage of land owned by women is less than 2%. More than half of the estimated 33 million people living with HIV worldwide are women.

Music is, arguably, the art form that inspires more people than any other. From babies who start bouncing the moment they hear a happy tune to a senior who finds comfort and a wonderful memory in a familiar melody.
And then there are the musicians themselves. What music inspires them?

How’s that Father’s Day shopping coming along?
Did you know that you’ll spend about $95 on dear ol’ dad this time around? That’s the estimate from the National Retail Federation, which measures such stuff. By the way, you spent about $33 more on mom for Mother’s Day.
