Today we announced the appointment of Terra Carmichael as Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, effective December 2.
In this role, Terra will lead the company’s Corporate Affairs organization, including global external communications and media relations, internal communications, government relations, community affairs and the Red Tab Foundation.
Terra will report to Michelle Gass, President and CEO of Levi Strauss & Co., and sit on the executive leadership team.
Terra brings more than 25 years of experience leading communications, reputation management and organizational transformation for global companies. She joins LS&Co. from Lyft, where she served as Vice President, Communications, reporting to the CEO and serving as a member of the executive leadership team. At Lyft, she led all communications functions and shaped the company’s global communications strategy, including corporate reputation, brand and product communications, executive visibility, policy communications, owned content, social media and culture.
Prior to Lyft, Terra served as Chief Communications Officer at StockX, where she built the communications function during a period of rapid growth and international expansion. Earlier in her career, she led internal and external communications at Eventbrite through its IPO and held senior leadership roles at Yahoo! and other high-growth technology companies.
