The new Levi’s® x Sky High Farm Goods collection, launching on July 25 at a special one-day-only farmers market on Bond Street in New York City, features workwear-inspired denim built to be worn, worked and lived in. It pairs our design language and interest in transitional cotton with Sky High Farm Goods, the brand founded by artist Dan Colen and Daphne Seybold in 2022 to raise awareness and revenue for Sky High Farm, a food equity nonprofit and regenerative farm in New York’s Hudson Valley.
The eight-piece collection reimagines workwear staples through both brands’ lenses and features an everyday farmer’s jean, a Type III zip-Trucker jacket, a chore coat, a zip-work vest, a pocket tee, shorts and double-knee overalls. Each piece is adorned with a customized Levi’s® L-tab featuring Sky High Farm Goods’ “Cloud S” along with triple-stitch detailing, custom shanks and strawberry-and-moon embroidery.
The Meaning of Transitional Cotton
Every garment in the collection is made with organic and transitional cotton — cotton grown on farmland that’s in the process of moving from conventional agriculture toward certified organic or regenerative practices.
That in-between period matters. Certification can take up to three years, and during that time farmers often can’t command the premium that certified organic cotton earns, even though they’re already doing the harder, more sustainable work. Buying their crop during the transition helps close that revenue gap and lowers the financial risk of making the switch.
This isn’t the first time we’ve used transitional cotton. In 2020, the Levi’s® WellThread® Transitional Cotton program worked with smallholder farmers in India as they shifted their fields toward organic production. In 2024, we followed that up with a WellThread® collection made with 100% transitional cotton alongside plant-based indigo. More recently, we released 501® Original Fit Transitional Cotton jeans made with 95% transitional cotton and 5% recycled cotton.
The Sky High Farm Goods capsule continues this effort, showing what’s possible when a fashion brand and a working farm design come together around shared values and create something special.
The Levi’s® x Sky High Farm Goods collection is available for purchase worldwide July 25 on Levi.com, Skyhighfarmgoods.com, the Levi’s® App and select Levi’s® and retail stores.
