You’ll recognize the face of the next Levis® Made & Crafted® women’s line as top model and world traveler Lily Aldridge, who is lending her signature off-duty style to guide the premium brand’s Fall/Winter ‘18 collection – a hybrid of global influences inspired by a modern nomadic lifestyle.
“I love Levi’s, and I’m such a jeans and T-shirt kind of girl, it’s such a natural fit to work with them,” Lily told Vogue at a recent dinner celebrating the collection. “Made & Crafted is cool because it’s still very much Levi’s—that classic, cool style—but a little more fashion-forward, a little more elevated.”
Together, Lily and Levi’s® Made & Crafted® have created a campaign that pairs Lily’s signature off-duty style and Levi’s® timeless appeal to showcase Made & Crafted®’s latest collection.
“Our seasonal inspiration for Fall ‘18 was a global traveler—this idea of the modern, independent woman exploring opposite ends of our world and the things she would collect along the way,” said Nicolle Arbour, Global Design Director of Collections at Levi’s®. “Lily embodies this Levi’s® Made & Crafted woman. She is natural, confident and classic with that certain something special…much like Levi’s® Made & Crafted”.
Research for the collection brought the Made & Crafted® team from California to the Aran Islands of Ireland and far east to Thailand, sourcing inspiration and materials for a truly unique pairing of textiles and embroideries to be woven into Levi’s® denim DNA. The campaign was shot by Belgian photographer and former pro skateboarder Quentin de Briey in downtown Los Angeles to celebrate the brand’s California heritage.
