This Saturday, Beyond Yoga will make its first entrance into brick and mortar with a pop-up shop at The Grove in Los Angeles. Shoppers will be guided by Beyond Yoga style experts to find their perfect fit in The Grove’s dedicated glass pop-up shop that opened in 2016. Since its opening, the pop-up shop has housed brands like Tiffany & Co., YSL, Everlane and, starting June 25, Beyond Yoga.
“As a Los Angeles-based brand, opening our first pop-up experience at The Grove is a natural first step into retail,” said Michelle Wahler, co-founder and CEO of Beyond Yoga. “The space reflects Beyond Yoga’s values and provides us with the opportunity to meet loyal customers while our knowledgeable style experts also introduce new fans to our buttery soft favorites. We have significantly expanded over the past 16 years — from activewear to maternity, sleepwear, dresses and menswear — and we are looking forward to continuing to scale the brand and open new stores at the end of this year into 2023.”
This is the first retail space for Beyond Yoga. The team has worked on the pop-up for more than six months, creating the perfect representation of Beyond Yoga and its ethos with a warm and welcoming entrance that encourages every body of every size to come in and try on its athletic wear in sizes XXS to 4X.
“There are so many components that go into opening a pop-up space,” said Kori Whitaker, head of stores for Beyond Yoga. “It was imperative that we nailed the right feel for customers, had the right mix of styles and sizes, and had the technology infrastructure to support a seamless customer experience. I could not be prouder of how the pop-up turned out and am excited about our expansion into retail over the next several years.”
Anyone who has purchased a Beyond Yoga item raves about its unbeatable softness that has to be felt to be understood. This pop-up will give people the opportunity to try on products and touch the fabrics for themselves. There will be Spacedye leggings, shorts and tops to try on and purchase in store, as well as dresses to try on and purchase online.
The space will also foster community — a key component of the Beyond Yoga brand — with special events throughout the month and giveaways with largely female-founded, L.A.-based brands.
Special events include:
- June 25 & 26 | 12–3 p.m.: Bia Blooms is creating custom bouquets inspired by Beyond Yoga’s color palette for customers, and there will also be complimentary BY x Pressed Juice.
- June 28 | 7 p.m.: Get your sweat on with a Balacize workout class with Bala and take home a free set of Bala bangles.
- July 15 | 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Attend a Moms Meet-up hosted by Fashion Mamas founder Natalie Alcala. Moms will be treated to a portrait session, and Rare Beauty will provide beauty touch-ups.
- July 17 | 12–3 p.m.: Celebrate National Ice Cream Day with a custom Beyond Yoga ice cream flavor from Sweet Rose creamery.
