HRC Recognizes 20 Years of Support

Levi Strauss & Co.
November 30, 2023

We are thrilled to announce that the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has awarded Levi Strauss & Co. a perfect 100% score in its Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the 20th year in a row.

HRC is one of the largest organizations in the U.S. striving to end discrimination against LGBTQIA+ people and realize a world that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all. Every year, HRC assesses companies and publishes its findings in the CEI on LGBTQIA+-related policies and practices, encompassing nondiscrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the community.

Twenty consecutive years of perfect CEI scores is the culmination of LS&Co.’s continuous support for the LGBTQIA+ community. This year, LS&Co. remained steadfast in our dedication to LGBTQIA+ equality, proudly showcasing the Levi’s® and Dockers® Pride collections. Additionally, we stood shoulder-to-shoulder with HRC and GLAAD and signed on to a series of statements reaffirming our commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community. We also made a grant to the Campaign for Southern Equality that aided in the expansion of vital services for transgender individuals residing in states passing anti-trans legislation.

“I’m so proud of this acknowledgment and the collective efforts across the organization in support of our LGBTQIA+ team members and the broader community,” said Christina Glennon, global head of DE&I programs and operations at LS&Co. “This recognition reflects our shared dedication to remain at the forefront of human rights through our profits through principles approach, ensuring we remain a responsible business for generations to come. Here’s to the next 20 years of building on our ongoing efforts, from the inside out, and our commitment to advocating for what’s right.”
