On January 13th, our President and CEO, Chip Bergh, was recognized as The Visionary 2019, an honor bestowed by the National Retail Federation to leaders with a proven track record of orchestrating change in the industry.
Introduced by the Boss Dogg himself, Snoop Dogg, Chip was celebrated at the NRF 2019: Retail’s Big Show Gala on Sunday, one of the industry’s biggest events of the year. Chip also took part in the NRF’s “Retail Gets Real” podcast, and a live fireside chat at the convention on the subject of “Company Conscience” and what it means to lead with conviction.
“Levi Strauss & Co. is a company that has historically not been afraid to take a courageous stand on social issues,” Chip said on stage. “Consumers will reward companies that lead with conviction. And CEOs and companies have a responsibility to do so.”
