The wait is over.

We first shared the news of the Dockers® Wellthread collection back in November. The Wellthread process for responsible sourcing combines sustainable design and environmental practices with an emphasis on supporting the well-being of the apparel workers who make the garments. This is the first time Levi Strauss & Co. has brought these key elements together into one process.

Now, the Wellthread collection is available on dockers.com.

I ordered the Casual Blazer as soon as I could, and I have to tell you, it’s a great addition to my wardrobe, garnering more than a few compliments.

The blazer is made in a jeans factory and, as a result, has the same durable construction of a jean jacket. The patch pockets are reinforced, as are the button holes. That means a long life. And that’s what Dockers® means by “sustainable design.” The first rule of sustainability ought to be something that’s going to be with you for a while—that doesn’t have to be replaced anytime soon, right?

And you can add to that sustainability by washing in cold water and hanging the jacket to dry—saving energy.

Check out the collection online. With pants, shirts and jackets in a variety of spring and summer colors, you’re sure to find something you like. And you can take comfort in knowing you can continue to enjoy it for years to come. Learn more in this video:
