LS&Co. Volunteers Get Vocal About Voting

Levi Strauss & Co.
August 6, 2018

We’re all about using our voice here at Levi Strauss & Co. – and we think this country could use more voices like yours.

There’s no better way to give voice to your opinions and the causes you care about than by hitting the polls. Voting is a right, a responsibility and a privilege, and too many of us choose not to exercise that right on Election Day. (Only 36.4 percent of the eligible voters turned out at the polls at the last mid-term elections – a dismal statistic that we are determined to improve!)

Our company has a long-standing commitment to encouraging our employees to stand up for the issues that are important to them – and these days you’ll find them on the front lines, engaging new voters before the mid-term elections this November. At this pivotal time, we cannot afford apathy, especially when it comes to using our vote for the issues we are passionate about.

This weekend, you’ll find our employees volunteering with Headcount – a nonprofit organization that promotes voter registration through the power of music – at the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco. And employees around the country will be hitting the music circuit throughout the summer and fall.

So if you’re heading to Golden Gate Park this weekend, be sure to drop by the Headcount booth to get registered and say “hi” to our LS&Co. volunteers who will be registering voters like you!

It’s your vote – use it!
