In today’s tumultuous credibility climate, authenticity is valued by young consumers more than ever. As they see it, it’s not just a “nice-to-have,” it can be a deal-breaker when it comes to how they spend their money.
That serves as the basis for a new study released by YPulse, which surveyed 80,000 consumers between the ages of 13 to 36 on the brands they trust the most and consider the coolest. When it came to the most trustworthy brands in the fashion/apparel category, the Levi’s® brand ranked #2.
While Nike ranked #1 on both the cool and most-authentic lists, Levi’s® ranked just outside of the top 10 coolest brand rankings.
“After 165 years in business — and perhaps because of that long history — Levi’s is still perceived among teens, 20- and 30-somethings as true to itself,” Bobby Calise, YPulse’s vice president of Ybrands, told Media Post. “Even Nike could learn something from Levi’s when it comes to authenticity.”
