With the ambitious goal of becoming the world’s most sustainable apparel company, we are laser-focused on increasing transparency and environmental management performance throughout our entire supply chain.

That approach has paid off – we’re proud to share that we achieved the top ranking in the textile industry from the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE) for our efforts in reducing the environmental impact of our supply chain in China.

IPE, an environment-focused NGO in China, released findings from its latest Corporate Information Transparency Index (CITI), measuring the performance of around 250 brands across 14 industries in terms of how they manage environmental performance in their supply chain in China.

LS&Co. ranked first out of 65 textile/apparel companies, including many big brand names, and third overall. We have made great progress, increasing in rank from second in the textile industry in 2016, and third place in 2015.

“It is a great honor to receive the top ranking in the textile industry from IPE this year. The consistent progress the company has made over these past three years is a testament to the great work of our sustainability team,” said Nic Versloot, managing director of Greater China. “We remain committed to the goal of becoming the most sustainable apparel company in China.”
