Here’s how it all started. A team of us – all designers – went to one of our laundries and told the folks there that we wanted to do the most incredible denim finishing we’d ever done – but we didn’t want to use water. If you’re into blue jeans like I am, you know that’s a tall order.I mean, anyone can create a jean using less water. But the challenge is using innovative techniques to create the finishes customers want…without using a lot of water. We believe we’ve done both.

Cool is subjective - in my opinion a cool T is based on brand relevance, it depends on where it comes from and where it’s going. A bad T is a design that exploits current predictable pop culture art / design trends. I think a brand should represent its own original vision.

If you hate doing laundry, you may want to limit the bottom half of your wardrobe to blue jeans…and follow Carl Chiara’s credo: The less you wash your jeans, the better your jeans become.Carl – and his laissez faire approach to denim care – was featured in yesterday’s "Tricks of the Trade" column in The Wall Street Journal. Let’s just say this – when a woman finds a pair of jeans that fits AND makes her look and feel fabulous, well, it’s nothing short of a fashion miracle.
That being the case – there were miracles galore this last Friday in Bryant Park where around 2,000 women lined up to donate a pair of jeans to Goodwill and receive a personalized fitting for a free pair of Levi’s® Curve ID jeans.

Who knew the first internship of my professional career would land me in an OMG moment in the dressing room?My name is Elizabeth, and I’m a college senior lucky enough to have had the opportunity to work at Levi Strauss & Co. in San Francisco this summer. On day one of the job, my boss, Blake, took me on a field trip to the Levi’s® Store at Union Square. She told me about Levi’s® Curve ID and how 3-D scans of 60,000 women were studied to craft the perfect fit, how You Nguyen is pretty much the most fabulous man on earth, and how the jeans he designed are supposed to fit me perfectly the first time I try them on.

This Golden Fleece is linked to the Levi’s® brand. You see, the image of the Golden Fleece suspended by a ribbon is a Brooks Brothers trademark. And Levi’s® brand and Brooks Brothers have just announced an exclusive collection of jeans, made in the United States.
