Gothamist.com summed it up well: Andy Warhol is getting an extension on his 15 minutes of fame.Yesterday evening, “The Andy Monument” was unveiled in New York’s Union Square, in front of Warhol’s Factory Studio of the 1970s and ‘80s.

The Ex-Girlfriend jeans have caught plenty of attention since Levi’s® launched them a few weeks back. Ellen, Stephen Colbert and plenty of bloggers have had their say.
The latest review comes from the folks at ABC’s Good Morning America. The, ahem, bottom line? You gotta be confident to wear ‘em — and they’re not for everyone.

Today is World Water Day. You may give it only a passing thought. Not Kebedech Hagos, though. For her, it’s a reminder of how far she’s come.Until the Water.org water project, which resulted in a well in her Ethiopian village, Kebedech would walk miles to a river to fetch and carry—on her back—the five gallons of contaminated water that would barely sustain her family’s needs for the day.

Randy Wray is an artist and a fan of Levi’s® jeans. He merges the two in his Brooklyn home, creating works of art from recycled denim and so much more.Randy recently shared some pictures of his works, as well as some words describing what he does. We thought you might like to see them. His work reminds us of a recent recycled denim case study we developed in partnership with the San Francisco Art Institute.

They want to know how a manufacturer’s practices affect the environment, workers and communities.Leading apparel companies have developed initiatives to monitor factory conditions, measure energy and water use, and even trace cotton to its source. But this information has primarily been used internally.Until now.

We were backstage at an SXSW concert in Austin -- styling an edgy rock band. As the front man looked at the choices we had, he zeroed in on a pair of girl’s floral-print skinny jeans. He was hooked.That was the moment we both knew we had to make the Ex-Girlfriend jean.
