Jason Witten is starting his 10th year as a professional football player. He’s an All-Pro tight end who, in his career in Dallas, holds the team record for the most receptions ever.Most. Ever. Go to Work

When Labor Day first became a legal holiday here in the U.S., it’s safe to say a lot of folks were laboring in Levi’s® jeans. After all, that was back in 1894, 21 years after the original blue jean was invented by our founder, Levi Strauss, and his business partner, Jacob Davis. It’s amazing to think how labor has evolved over the years. Our country is more urban now, less rural. But whether you’re a Texas cotton farmer like my uncle Vernon, or an urban commuter like so many of my work colleagues, Levi’s® jeans are still standard attire.

Good Things Take Time

This Regular Tee Shirt is anything but regular. But that's what you should expect from Levi's® Made & Crafted. Most tee shirt graphics are printed. This one is knitted. The zigzag pattern is actually a jacquard -- a time-intensive technique that allows for wild but precise patterns, rich colors and a soft but rugged feel. The pattern is actually knitted into the fabrics so that it ages like your favorite pair of jeans. It takes eight times longer to make this "regular" tee, but it's worth it.

A Love That Never Fades

As the company historian I sometimes feel as though I inhabit an alternate universe. This is never more true than when I am in the midst of denim enthusiasts.Actually, “enthusiasts” is too mild a word for a group of guys and gals who love jeans and denim and indigo. I just had the opportunity to spend an evening with a bunch of these folks, and as usual, I had a great time.

Make it Weirder

“Make it Weirder.”That was some of the feedback Chad Hinson received from his boss, Len Peltier, as he was working on the new Levi’s® San Francisco store. For Chad, “weirder” meant that the true authenticity of the brand and its hometown must shine through. And it wasn’t so much “weirder” as it was cooler, more authentic and truer to the Levi’s® brand than anyone could imagine. That’s what the team – including Chad’s creative partner Sherman Adams and so many others – was charged with.

By Skateboarders, For Skateboarding

At the risk of offending skateboarders everywhere, may I suggest that this is not a sport known for stylish apparel. But that's probably part of its appeal, the "just be yourself" attitude.Besides, if you're going to be falling and skidding and scraping and otherwise abusing your clothes -- not to mention your body -- why get dressed up?But..I like the way my colleagues at the Levi's® brand put it:

501 Interpretations

Since its invention in 1873, the Levi’s® 501® jean has taken on a life of its own. One Less Worry for the Two-Wheeled Commuter

There’s enough to think about when you’re commuting by bicycle. The last thing you want to do is worry about your clothes.I speak from experience. The driver that didn’t see me and ran me off the road with his van is proof. At least he stopped to make sure I was okay. And never mind the near misses that occur just about every day I hop on my bike. That’s why I wear a helmet. You should, too. Just sayin’.

Lynn in Berlin. And Moscow.

As Levi Strauss & Co.’s historian, going to Germany is like going home. In my 23 years with the company, I’ve been here more than any other country. And that’s appropriate, since this is where our founder, Levi Strauss, was born.In Berlin, my only German stop on the 501® Jean Roadshow, I had a full day of interviews and presentations at a lovely 1920s-era hotel. My audience was a collection of equally lovely journalists and bloggers, all of whom seemed to appreciate seeing the vintage jeans I brought with me.

Of Motorcycles and 501® Jeans

My name is Paula Camp. I'm writing to you because I believe my Levi’s® 501® Shrink-to-Fit jeans saved my leg and hip from serious injury in a terrible motorcycle accident last month. On May 11, I was riding my Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe on I-580 in the Altamont Pass, east of San Francisco. My husband was in front on his Harley-Davidson Road Glide, and we were traveling east on our way home to Stockton after a great ride to the San Francisco Bay Area.
