Excellence Award
The Excellence Award is given annually to recognize “best in class” employees in each of our three regions. The award is given to employees and employee teams who help to further our company’s vision while contributing to our strategic and annual operating plans.
Worldwide Koshland Award
The Koshland Award is the highest honor employees can receive. This award recognizes the “best of the best” performance worldwide, decided by the company’s most senior leaders.
Caring for Our Communities
Matching Gifts
Employee financial contributions of up to $1,200 per year, made to eligible non-profits, are matched dollar for dollar by the Levi Strauss Foundation — for U.S. based employees.
Community Involvement Teams
Levi Strauss & Co. and the Levi Strauss Foundation support employee volunteerism and grant making in the communities where we work. Our employees worldwide have formed scores of Community Involvement Teams that partner with local charitable organizations to identify needs, plan activities, and create volunteer and donation opportunities.
Community Day
Community Day reflects our long-standing history of supporting communities where we do business. Each year, an annual Community Day event is held combining community service, grant making, team building, and fun.
Volunteer Release Time
Full-time, salaried employees in the U.S. may, with manager approval, schedule up to five hours per month of paid time away from the office to volunteer at a nonprofit organization of their choice.
Community Service Grants
Employees who actively serve on the board of a nonprofit, or have volunteered for at least one year, may apply for a Community Service Grant for their charitable organizations for up to $1,200 per year — for U.S. based employees.
Emergency Financial Assistance
The Red Tab Foundation isn't a benefit of employment at Levi Strauss & Co. Rather, it is an independent non-profit organization. It assists Levi Strauss employees, retirees and their families who face financial difficulty that threatens their ability to provide for the basic necessities of life. The Red Tab Foundation also provides educational programs and services to help people learn how to develop spending and savings plans and manage credit card debt.
