If homeless “street children” were among the most vulnerable to HIV/AIDS in your city, how would you reach them with what could be life-saving information?
We recently told you how Alliance Ukraine used mobile clinics during Euro 2012 to raise HIV/AIDS awareness among soccer fans attending championship games.
But they didn’t stop there.

The new Levi’s® brand Champs-Élysées store is a great place to find not only the brand’s best product, but also a showcase of some pretty fantastic art.
In an earlier post, French Ties, we showed you the work of U.S. artist Shepard Fairey – he of Obey fame – and France's Mr. ANDRÉ currently on display at this Paris flagship. Now, we have a behind-the-scenes video of what went into making it.
It’s a fun couple of minutes. Have a look…

Outside the soccer stadiums in Kyiv and Kharkiv – two Ukrainian cities that just hosted Euro 2012 – you could find plenty of soccer fans. You could also find mobile HIV/AIDS clinics.

On the day Kamon Uppakaew discovered he was HIV positive, he was dealt with another blow.
He was discriminated against and denied employment because of his HIV status.
Since then, Kamon has committed himself to fighting for the equal rights of people living with HIV/AIDS.

My dog hates skateboarders.
The moment Henry hears the familiar sound of speeding hard rubber wheels on pavement, his tail goes between his legs and his ears go flat.
Once I find that the skateboarder isn’t barreling toward us – out of control at breakneck speed – I’ll usually pause to see what he – or she – can do. Not that I’m any great judge. Simply standing up on a small piece of moving wood-on-wheels is beyond my skills.

A farm may not seem the most likely place to schmooze fashion editors. Unless, of course, it’s located in a fashion mecca like New York City.
But where?
On a high-rise roof, of course. That’s where you’ll find the Brooklyn Grange, a commercial organic farm that’s actually on the top of a Big Apple building.

If you tested HIV positive, would you tell the world about it?
Twelve years ago, Ginan Koesmayadi did.
Despite an unyielding social stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS, Ginan Koesmayadi disclosed his HIV status on national television.

On June 15th I had the extraordinary honor of receiving a Levi Strauss Pioneer Award. Without hesitation, I would like to dedicate it to the staff at Alliance Health Project (formerly the AIDS Health Project).
On most days, I think of myself as an accidental activist. In 1982, when I left the Midwest and moved to San Francisco to fulfill my psychiatry residency, I thought I would live in anonymity as a gay doctor with a private practice. All that changed when the AIDS epidemic struck.

Fashion and lifestyle website Refinery 29 threw some compliments our way today.
They recently captured some “jeanius street-style snaps" -- their words, not ours -- outside our Levi’s Plaza headquarters in San Francisco. They even said the company “seems to employ the coolest kids around the Bay.”
Aw, shucks. And thanks!
The pics above are only a fraction of what can be seen in the slideshow on the Refinery 29 site.

We’ll let the pictures from Levi’s® new Champs Elysees store do most of the "speaking," but you need the backstory.
Last night, the Levi's® brand launched its second “Vive Les Friends” collaboration -- both to mark the opening of this new flagship store, but to also celebrate the long-time cultural connection between the United States and France.
The “friends” in this collaboration are artists Shepard Fairey (pictured left, below) and Mr. ANDRE (right, below).
