She has a unique blend of policy expertise, charm, elbow grease and determination.
That’s why we love Cecilia Chung. But it’s not the only reason.

If the new Levi’s® store in Tokyo’s Shinjuku district looks different from nearby stores, there’s a reason.
The simple, refined aesthetic sets the store apart. Natural and materials, including wood, leather and metal, are matched with vintage furniture and lamps. Those aspects, along with the resulting industrial look and feel, reinforces the Levi’s® brand’s commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship.

Levi Strauss & Co. is not an energy company.
But when we add up all the small ways we’re changing our relationship to the energy we consume, it can make a big difference.
That’s why we’re pleased to share our 2012 Climate Change Report, which captures progress toward our goal of reducing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases through maximizing energy efficiency and one day using 100% renewable energy.

Kids may say the darndest things, but they also write the loveliest things.
Our employees in Mexico City found this out after a recent volunteer activity in which they collected stationery and other items, pictured below. They used the materials to make back-to-school kits – more than 950 in all – for underserved kids.

As a Dockers® menswear designer, it makes sense to me to see how our clothes respond to the real world – even if that world includes a skateboard and some tricks.
So I convinced a few friends to join me in putting the Dockers® Alpha Khaki to the test on the streets of San Francisco.
The Alpha is a hybrid-sort of design, coupling the best elements of jeans with the more refined characteristics of khaki. What you end up with is a jean’s durability, rugged construction and slim fit – with the slightly more polished effect of a khaki.

Like others across the United States, we at Levi Strauss & Co. know when to step outside for a once-in-a-lifetime event.
Space shuttle Endeavour flew over our hometown of San Francisco this morning, as it wrapped up its cross-country tour, on its way to Los Angeles. The shuttle hitched a ride on a Boeing 747, and its Bay Area visit was one of many California flyovers today.
Despite the mid-morning haze, the scene from our balconies at Levi’s® Plaza, as Endeavour passed over San Francisco Bay, was more than a little impressive.

When it comes to improving women’s health, do men have a role?
Absolutely.
That’s a guiding principle behind the Levi Strauss Foundation’s support for BSR’s HERproject, a program that advances the health and well-being of thousands of women in apparel factories where Levi Strauss & Co.’s products are made.
This time, the Levi Strauss Foundation and our partner in Pakistan, Aga Khan University, is supporting a HERproject program…for men.

You may not have ever thought about it this way, but in addition to being known for its great product, the Levi’s® brand has long been known for its art – otherwise known as its advertising.
Within a decade of creating the first blue jeans, in 1873, the company put into the hands of its salesmen colorful flyers with eye-catching graphics. Those flyers were given to the owners of small general stores all over the American West. And Art Nouveau influences can be seen in the covers of the company’s catalogs, first printed in 1900.

Let's say you're given $100 to "do good" in one day. What would you do?
That's the idea behind "A Day in a Pair," a new contest from the Levi's® brand and Good.
Three winners with the most inspiring ideas for doing good will receive $100 to use toward their day and will have their adventure featured in their own photo essay on Good.
Plus, Levi's will give the winners $150 each to shop the fall collection for something to wear during their day of doing good.
