The name harkens back to the company’s roots, but the new Levi’s® Dry Goods in Tustin, Calif. Is more “tomorrow” than “yesterday.”
The new store opened this week and is the first of its kind for the brand. It offers a broad range of Levi’s® product with a shopping experience and design that allows you to easily get in, purchase and get out.

If the fact that it's already December 17 and you haven't made much of a dent in your Christmas shopping list has you a little nervous, the folks at Levi's® brand are here to help!
In fact, Levi's® store employees at THE San Francisco shopping destination, Union Square, put their best ideas on video. So sit back with a cup of hot cocoa or apple cider -- spiked, if you like -- have a look...and relax. You'll find these and other ideas at your nearest Levi's® store or online.

Levi Strauss didn’t invent blue jeans to make history. At the time, he was simply doing business and trying to meet the needs of his customers – hard working Californians, trying to carve out their piece of the American dream.
But he did make history. And last night, in Sacramento, his efforts – and his business and philanthropic legacy – were recognized by his adopted state.

The death, Monday, of Ambassador Richard C. Holbrooke was felt around the world, including here at Levi Strauss & Co.
Ambassador Holbrooke galvanized the corporate HIV/AIDS movement as president and CEO of the Global Business Coalition. He led the organization from 2001 to 2009, a time of unprecedented global growth of corporate commitment to those in need and at risk from HIV/AIDS.
Simply put, Ambassador Holbrooke played a visionary role in bringing HIV/AIDS to the forefront of the global agenda.

If the headline here causes you to consider anything other than the work of a fashion designer…get your mind out of the gutter – and read on.
Meet Jamie Sakamoto. You may “wear the pants,” as the Dockers® tag line says. Jamie and her colleagues design them.

If you’ve ever spent any time in Lesotho, in the heart of South Africa, you’ll know that in many ways it’s still a developing country . It’s also a place where people work to make some of our products.

Here’s the scene: A soccer camp for the children of Levi’s employees in South Africa. In addition to sharpening their skills, the kids also learn about HIV/AIDS. Judging from the questions they ask, it’s clear the kids don’t discuss this issue with their parents or teachers. It’s good they had this opportunity.
Another scene: An HIV/AIDS training session for Levi’s retail employees in South Africa. A counselor offers an HIV test to anyone interested. Several of the female team members agreed. None of the guys did. Still, the offer stands.

If you’re doing some holiday shopping today, here’s a great way to make your dollars do more: For every pair of khakis purchased, Dockers® will donate a pair to Boys Hope Girls Hope.
Shame on me for not alerting you earlier to this great offer, but I just found out about it myself.
Boys Hope Girls Hope is a non-profit, residential program with locations in the U.S., Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico and Peru.
What do they do? In their words...

Here at Levi Strauss & Co. we’re focused on building sustainability into everything we do. The goal? Have our profitable growth help restore the environment.
We know that we can’t tackle this challenge alone – so we’re talking with a lot of different people about what we can do together. Among them, students.
