Actor Stephen Dorff plays her vision – in the role of Johnny Marco, a hard-living Hollywood movie star. Marco is forced to reevaluate his life when his 11-year-old daughter unexpectedly shows up at the Chateau Marmont – his hotel home – with nowhere else to go.

In the summer sci-fi flick Super 8, some movie-making middle-schoolers uncover an out-of-this-world monster. The discovery happens as they’re using their Super 8 camera to make a film of their own.
If the movie has inspired you to channel your inner J.J. Abrams or Stephen Spielberg – the guys behind Super 8 – chances are, you’re more likely to have access to a camera phone than a movie camera.
As it turns out, there’s an app for that! And it’s free for, as they say, a limited time only.

There are few things in life better than a good story – whether on the printed page, in a movie or told by a friend. And in most cases, the phrase, “don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story,” makes me smile.
But when a story runs roughshod over the truth and hurts something I care about, I’ll be the first to speak up. That’s what’s happening now, in some circles – and the target is the Levi’s® brand, which I lead.

Who knew?
When Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis decided to use rivets to hold together the work pants they made for hard-working Western pioneers, they invented the first blue jean. Little did they know that the Levi’s® 501® jean would become an American icon, loved by generation after generation.
And it’s safe to say, no other product has been worn, loved or re-imagined quite like Levi’s® 501® jeans. They are the resilient and defining wardrobe staple of cultural leaders from presidents to musicians to movie stars.

No matter where in the world I travel – and I do my share – if I pick up a bottle of Coca-Cola, I know what I’m getting. It’s the same when I spot that familiar bottle of Absolut in a local market. There’s no mystery about what’s inside.
I don’t typically mix Coke and Absolut, but in this case I will. These are two brands that are globally known, highly respected, and unfailingly consistent. And they’ve each reached this pinnacle by a relentless focus on the customer.
