We Get Letters -- And Trading Cards!

Kids are the coolest.

As today’s proof, we’ve got some totally cool, kid-created trading cards sent to us from Mrs. Adam’s second grade class at John Adams Elementary in Torrance, California.

On the front of each trading card: Our founder, Levi Strauss!

In her accompanying letter, Mrs. Adams explained that her class had been learning about “producers and consumers,” and they had spent some time reading about Levi Strauss.

“We hope you enjoy these ‘trading cards,” she went on to write. “It was a pleasure reading about such a kind, intelligent and fair person.”

We love the trading cards. They are amazing! And we’re particularly excited by the fact that the students not only took the time to study Mr. Strauss, but also shared what they had learned in such a creative way.

Levi Strauss trading cards! Who’da thunk it?

We must confess, it took some time for the trading cards to make their way onto the blog desk, so those second graders? Well, now they’re third graders.

We hope their new school year is off to a great start. And we thank them – and Mrs. Adams – for sharing!

Using kids in big Company marketing... sad :(

Editor's note: Thanks for weighing in, Michael. We didn't solicit the kids' work, but their teacher was kind enough to share the trading cards with us, and we thought the cards were cute enough to share with a larger audience. We're also proud that this teacher would use our founder, Levi Strauss, as an example of a reputable business person when teaching her class about producers and consumers. Plus, we thought the kids would get a kick out of seeing -- and sharing -- their work online.
