By Skateboarders, For Skateboarding

At the risk of offending skateboarders everywhere, may I suggest that this is not a sport known for stylish apparel. But that's probably part of its appeal, the "just be yourself" attitude.

Besides, if you're going to be falling and skidding and scraping and otherwise abusing your clothes -- not to mention your body -- why get dressed up?

But..I like the way my colleagues at the Levi's® brand put it:

Skateboarders define themselves. They do not conform to rules, and there is no standard uniform. However, almost anyone who has ever stepped on a skateboard has worn Levi's® jeans.

So...it makes sense that Levi's® would introduce a complete Skateboarding Collection -- designed and constructed by skateboarders for skateboarding. For example, the denim has Cordura® to give it abrasion resistance. And there are extra stitches throughout the seams and crotch to decrease the risk of blowouts. There's even an internal waistband stash pocket.

See the Skateboarding Collection Lookbook and more here, and check out these skateboarders as they take on the hills and streets of San Francisco.
