Mixing Coca-Cola and Absolut

No matter where in the world I travel – and I do my share – if I pick up a bottle of Coca-Cola, I know what I’m getting. It’s the same when I spot that familiar bottle of Absolut in a local market. There’s no mystery about what’s inside.

I don’t typically mix Coke and Absolut, but in this case I will. These are two brands that are globally known, highly respected, and unfailingly consistent. And they’ve each reached this pinnacle by a relentless focus on the customer.

People around the world also know our brands, Levi’s® and Dockers®. And if we do things right, folks will soon be quite familiar with our newest one, dENiZEN™.

It’s one thing to be known, though, and another to thrive.

That’s what we want – to thrive in a global, consumer-driven marketplace. And that’s why, today, we announced some changes. We named a global leader for each of the three brands. This will ensure that we bring an even higher level of quality to the work we do.

Inside Levi Strauss & Co., this means a fundamental change in how we approach our work. As I’ve told our teams around the world, we must be obsessed with you, our customer, and focused on what you want in our product.

The global approach to fit in our recent – and highly successful – Levi’s® Curve ID jeans launch is a great example of this kind of consumer-focused thinking and innovation.

Expect more such approaches to our product ahead...to sharpen what our brands stand for and deliver a consistent customer experience no matter where you enjoy it – London, Singapore, Mexico City, you name it.

We have a foundation and heritage unequaled by any other apparel company in the world. And given our amazing global teams, our reputation for quality, and the values we stand for, we’re starting in a great place.

We believe ours rank among the best consumer-facing brands in the world. The changes we’ve announced today will mean an even better customer experience. And I look forward to sharing it with you as we move this amazing company forward.

I just wanted to thank you for the donations you have made to Braddock Pa. I saw a movie about your work to help the area. My grandparents lived on Bell Ave, off Library Street. Their house no longer exists, it is in the landfill somewhere with lots of other homes that once stood there. We do not know why your company has made such a donation but we want to thank you for trying to help the poor people who live there. We have used your products for years, my husband loves the Dockers pants! God Bless you all, Cynthia Schell
