Poster's Note: Curtis Ropp credits his Levi’s® jeans -- pictured above -- for saving his, um, rear. While we don’t enjoy reading about motorcycle accidents, we do like hearing praise for our products. Here’s what happened, according to Curtis…
The story is quite simple actually. I was out for my afternoon ride through the Presidio, the former military base in San Francisco, and a car decided that I was going too slowly.
They went to pass me, and when coming back into the lane, the car struck the front of my motorcycle.
I flew off the back of the bike and slid for about 200 yards. The fall gave me a concussion, a severely broken hand, bruised ribs and some scrapes.
After going to the hospital and looking at the mess that use to be my clothes, I noticed the Levi's® had literally saved my a--.
If the backstitch hadn’t held up, the doctors would’ve had to repair my skin in very drastic ways.
The driver of the car didn’t stop, so being able to pick myself up, dust off my iPhone (in the back pocket of my jeans), and call for help was incredible.
I am very thankful for the product and feel very lucky to have escaped with such minor injuries.
We’re happy for you, Curtis. Here’s to safe cycling and your speedy recovery!
