One of the best parts of my job is when we have the opportunity to share a new Dockers® collection with the European press. It’s always fun and enlightening to see the response.

At Munich’s Goldberg Studios, we debuted our Fall/Winter 2012 collection to fashion reporters for Uomo Vogue (Italy), GQ (Spain, Italy and UK), Esquire (Spain and UK), and others. Also on hand, a bevy of German journalists – from Playboy, to Men’s Health, X-Ray to FHM.

Name drop? Me?

Goldberg’s glass roof shed acres of light onto the collection, which was then up-lit with the brand’s signature Dockers® orange. Barcelona-born Anton Unai, renowned for building sculptures of size and magnitude, built an installation of vintage Dockers® K-1 Khakis. Unai works primarily with materials that reflect urban city landscapes, so it seemed fitting to see him incorporate the rugged, masculine and authentic design of the K-1.

Dockers® Global Merchandising’s Angelo Ng presented the collection, walking guests through key products and looks for the season. These include the Urban Explorer Khaki, the epitome of urban attitude featuring a modern, streamlined slim silhouette with a discreet hidden side pocket; the Alpha Khaki, with its head-to-toe casual aesthetic; and the more refined look of the sharp and ready Dockers® SF Khaki.

The response from those on hand was tremendously positive. Dockers® has a great reputation among the European press, and I think we only enhanced that with this particular collection. I’m looking forward to reading what the reporters have to say when they put their thoughts into print.
