A Levi's® Fan

Editor's note: This came to us from a consumer. Probably best to let him speak for himself...

I have been wearing Levi's® 501® jeans for over 35 years and have about 20 years of Levi Jeans hanging in my closet.

They are tattered and shredded in the knees and thighs because I wore them in the photo studio and in the dark room to develop the pictures I take as a professional photographer and with hands always wet I dried them on my pants, closest thing to a towel.

I don't care what people think I occasionally wear my shredded Levi's®, and some people buy jeans in this condition for big money, and mine came naturally with everyday wear.

I wear new Levi's Jeans in black and blue as dress pants with a sport coat and a mock turtleneck.

My style of dress! Comfortable and chic. Can’t live without my Levi's® 501s®.

Sir David

I could not agree more with Noreen. There is seriously nothing more grueling than the quest for quality, 100% cotton non-stretch jeans these days (let's not even get into raw or selvedge here). I get it - the direction of women's denim today is continuously moving more toward garishly designed, ultra-washed, stretchy man-made materials to fit the form. But please do not ignore the rest of the female population with a discerning eye for denim! More and more brands like Jean Shop and Railcar are popping up to fill that niche - and in so doing they are doing very, very well. Another annoyance is the disparity of quality of men's vs. women's jeans. Why is it that guys can get a solid Rigid 501 for $60, and a girl has to settle for stretch jeans at that price? Why is the only viable option to trade up to non-stretch for $178? Do we not deserve more Cone Denim options? Please offer more non-stretch options for women - there is a very eager market out there. Jennifer, 25, NYC.

Editor's note: Thanks, Jennifer, for your comment. I have passed it along to the Levi's® brand.

Please consider bringing back 100% cotton jeans for women. Who ever come up with stretch, just a bad idea. I have yet to see anyone who looks good in them. When I wear them they create an automatic muffin top and I have always been underweight at 5ft 10" and 127lbs. Also, I can't sit done without exposing my backside and in addition they slip down taking my underwear with them. So everytime I sit and stand I have an issue. I have 5 sisters and none of us can find d100% cotton jean. We all wore Levis and none of us are able to find a pair. I was desparate enough to try the mens jeans but the zipper area doesn't fit correctly. I had to switch to Tommy Hilfiiger jeans because I could only find 100% cotton in talls. But, now you can't find those jeans either. I miss my jeans and am tired of wearing sweats. Please come up with an option. TRUST ME....they will sell if marketed correctly. These young girls have never had quality jeans and once they are on they will never want another jean.

Editor's note: Hi Noreen, and thanks for your comment. I'm told we've added some new 100% cotton product for women. Have a look at the Levi.com search results here. I hope you find something that might work for you. I'll definitely pass along your feedback to Product Development.
