We’ll let the pictures from Levi’s® new Champs Elysees store do most of the "speaking," but you need the backstory.
Last night, the Levi's® brand launched its second “Vive Les Friends” collaboration -- both to mark the opening of this new flagship store, but to also celebrate the long-time cultural connection between the United States and France.
The “friends” in this collaboration are artists Shepard Fairey (pictured left, below) and Mr. ANDRE (right, below).

The two artists, whose works of art were very much on display, chose last night’s invitation-only attendees, as well as the music for the evening.
The highlight – or “piece de resistance” – of the artists’ showcased work is a duo of large-scale sculptural installations at the store entrance. On the right at the top of this post, you see an almost fourteen-foot-tall skyscraper designed by Mr. ANDRE. On the left is a similar sized sculpture modeled after the traditional advertising columns – or “Colonne Morris” – found on the streets of Paris. It was built in collaboration with the artists and will contain original artwork by Shepard Fairey.
Enjoy the pictures! And if you’re in Paris tomorrow – Saturday – there’s a do-it-yourself workshop at the Champs Elysees store from 10 am to 2 pm. You’ll have the opportunity to join Mr. ANDRE and Shepard Fairey to create t-shirts stickers and buttons.
