Down Goes the Scooter

What happens when an SUV cuts off a scooter? That’s the first-hand story Levi’s® customer Kendall Ruth wrote earlier this month. Needless to say, his blue jeans played a role.

Take it away, Kendall!

I was riding my scooter down Pearl Street in Boulder, Colo. when an SUV turned left in front of me. I had to lay the scooter down and slid for about 20-30 meters before stopping just before the car.

I was wearing my new pair of Levi’s® 505s™ at the time.

I’m an emergency first responder and have seen my share of bad accidents and know this one could’ve been so much worse.

I walked away with abrasions/road-rash and a damaged Macbook. But my Levi’s® probably saved my right leg from a visit to the hospital and a lot more damage.

What impressed me was how little the tear in the knee is after such an accident.

Needless to say, my loyalty to your product just went up a few notches.

Attached is a photo of the 505s™ after the accident. You will see the small tear. Pretty durable, I'd say.
