In San Francisco’s Mission neighborhood, the variety of either highly ranked or appropriately cool restaurants and clubs make this largely working-class neighborhood a place where locals and hipsters alike can get down.
On Valencia Street, Levi’s® is providing a space to get dirty – a print workshop.
This is the first of several Levi’s® Workshops that the brand will host across the country, each focusing on a different craft and, it’s hoped, becoming a focal point of creation, inspiration and collaboration for artists and would-be artists, while benefitting area nonprofits.
We paid a visit yesterday, as those creating the Workshop did some last-minute prepping before it opened its doors last night for a two month stint. Here’s a video from our visit. If you want to see a more masterful one, check this out. It’s seriously awesome.
If you’re going to be in San Francisco at any time over the next two months, check the Workshop calendar, then come down and visit. You just might learn a new craft – and get a little dirty! And wherever you are, keep an eye on the Workshop blog.
