The Urban Commute -- Made Better

I get a kick out of San Francisco’s commuter cyclists. I admire their daily bravery. A 25 or 30-pound bicycle vs. a 1.5-ton sedan. You do the math.

Of course, I did go slack-jawed when I saw a cyclist cruising along a busy street last week with both hands on his smart phone, leaving none for his handlebars. I didn’t notice, but I hope he was wearing a helmet.

Where am I going with this? To Levi’s® Commuter Series, of course!

Following last year’s successful launch in the U.S., the Levi’s® brand has now brought the Commuter across the pond to Europe. I’m told response – in both the U.S. and Europe – has been fantastic.

The expanded Commuter collection features new styles and colors, with the same, great, technical tricks. The line is water resistant, dirt repellant, antimicrobial, and reflective. It’s also reinforced in high-stress areas and has the perfect amount of stretch to increase ease of movement.

And it all looks great. I love my new Commuter Hooded Trucker, and I’m not even a cyclist.

As part of the European launch, Levi’s® produced a couple of great videos that give you a taste of the urban commutes in both London and Paris. And, in case you’ve missed it, the U.S. version is also included below.

Sit back, relax and enjoy. And please keep your hands on the handlebars.
