A Bicycle Friendly Business!

San Francisco today – Bike to Work Day – presented Levi Strauss & Co. its Bicycle Friendly Business Award.

The first-of-its-kind award recognizes the company – and four others in the city – for its innovative and effective programs encouraging employees to bike to work. In our case, this includes free bicycle parking, a changing room, lockers and showers.

Bicycling is also part of our business – with the Levi’s® Commuter Series of innovative clothing, designed by cylists, for cyclists.

We’re proud to be a recipient of the award, presented this morning by San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee (left, in the above picture) to our own Jason McBriarty, a bicycle-commuting member of LS&Co.’s Corporate Affairs team.
