And The Winner Is…Levi’s® London

In New York tonight, the fashion elite gathered at the Waldorf-Astoria to honor the best of the best of the year. The occasion? The 2010 WGSN Global Fashion Awards.

And we’re proud to say that Levi’s was not only one of the nominees, it was a winner!

The Levi’s brand London flagship was one of six retail apparel newcomers vying for the top title in the Outstanding New Store category. And it was up against some stiff competition.

Others nominees included familiar names like New Balance (their new stores in Beijing and China), Forever 21 (New York), American Eagle Outfitters (New York), Topshop (London), and one that might not be quite such a household name – at least in my house -- Monki 3 Sea of Scallops (Oslo).

Ultimately, the new Levi’s® London store prevailed. The flagship’s design, which does such a wonderful job of uniquely and compellingly telling the brand’s story of craftsmanship, innovation and creativity, stood out among the best in the world. And for that, we’re both honored and proud.

This isn’t the store’s first award. Check out our earlier post by Jeff Kindleysides, the founder of Checkland Kindleysides, the design firm that partnered with Levi’s on the London Flagship.
