American Cool

In my book, few things are as cool as an Airstream travel trailer. The smooth, curving sheets of aluminum, riveted together and gliding down the open road to the next big adventure. Maybe at the Grand Canyon. Or a deserted Gulf Coast beach. Or Philadelphia.

Philly?

Yes, Philadelphia – the City of Brotherly Love. Home of the Liberty Bell. And this weekend, the place where a specially outfitted Airstream will house even more American cool…in the form of Dockers® khakis.

The Dockers® Wear the Pants® Mobile Tour arrives in Philly this weekend, dispensing style advice and free khakis, with the help of GQ Executive Stylist Brett Fahlgren and Philadelphia-based fashion stylist Bridget Marowski.

You’ll find the Dockers® decked-out Airstream parked downtown at 16th and Walnut streets with doors open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 29, and 12 noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2013. The start times are important, because the first 50 visitors each day who mention “Khaki Rules” will walk away with a free pair of the latest Dockers® khakis.

If you can’t make it to Philly this weekend, just know that the Dockers® Airstream will also be making stops in Atlanta (April 6th and 7th) and Chicago (April 11th and 12th).  You can keep up with it all by joining the brand on Facebook and Twitter.

For a preview of Dockers® style and fashion advice, check out Brett’s words of wisdom in the video below. See you on the road!

If you want to be cool here is a tip. For the last 5 years I have been telling everyone I know how Levi's, or any other blue jean manufacturer could corner the market on their jeans, or at least get a huge early market share boost. Maybe it will be your ticket to a huge bonus!. Here it is. Why in the world do you still have a change or watch pocket in your right hand front jean pocket. Shift the pocket to the hem line and make it and inch deeper and it becpmes a place for your 4G phone. I have been using my old little phone because it fits neatly in my watch pocket and it never is lost or damaged. Men don't want to have to carry a purse, or bag, or wear cargo paints to carry a large phone. Shift the watch pocket over and make it deeper and you will revolutionize the blue jean and make the new phones infinitely easier to use and keep track of. Simply so simple as to be stupid. Someone please do this for the sack of common sense.
