Varun Bhatia is Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President, Levi Strauss & Co.

Bhatia was named CHRO in July 2012 and is a member of the company’s worldwide leadership team, which sets the global direction for LS&Co.

Passionate about leadership and talent development, Bhatia is focused on partnering with the business to deliver HR solutions that meet the company’s needs, engage employees, and make LS&Co. a great place to work. He brings a transformational mind-set to leading and developing the company’s HR function to drive positive cultural change while enhancing individual and collective performance.

Bhatia is a seasoned HR executive with more than 25 years of experience at several consumer goods companies known for their leadership and talent development, including Kraft Foods, Gillette, and Procter & Gamble. He has extensive global experience, having worked in India, Singapore, UK, and the United States in country, regional, and global HR roles. Throughout his various HR positions, he has transformed organizations by developing and implementing robust, business-focused HR initiatives that help companies and employees succeed together. Before joining LS&Co., Bhatia served as vice president of Human Resources of the Asia Pacific division at Kraft Foods.

Bhatia holds a bachelor’s degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce and a post-graduate degree in business administration from XLRI Jamshedpur. He is also an alumnus of executive development programs at London Business School and Harvard University.
